Launched by Confindustria and San Patrignano in 2018, the Forum is an international event for reflection and exchange of experiences with entrepreneurs, economists, policymakers, social actors, intellectuals, and researchers to offer long-term solutions to the most pressing global issues.
With over 60 high-level Italian and international speakers, approximately 500 participants over two days, and extensive media coverage, the 2018 Forum was a success beyond expectations.
The 2019 Sustainable Economy Forum intends to deepen the dialogue that has been so effectively initiated, building on the joint work project presented by Confindustria and San Patrignano at the close of the previous edition.
The three pillars of the proposed platform—private-private partnerships for co-development, inclusion, and the development of impact finance tools—will serve as the guiding principles for the discussions, which will explore the issues of sustainability and responsibility in their various practical aspects.
In this light and with a particular focus on the African continent, speakers with diverse backgrounds, profiles, and experiences will address key topics for both today's world and future generations, such as social finance, digital transformation, renewable energy, the agri-food supply chain, innovation, and many others.
